CHRISTIAN UNITY AND INTERRELIGIOUS CONCERNS 2008 LUNCHEON
“According to the Torah, Joy is the normal healthy state of the soul.” --Rabbi Avram Davis
Dr. Davis is director of Yeshiva Simchat Lev, a school preparing Jewish spiritual leaders. He was founder of Chochmat HaLev (“Wisdom of the Heart”), joyful Jewish community for in-depth relevant Jewish learning, and center for Jewish meditation, teaching and practice. Chochmat’s joyful exploration of kabbalah, meditation, and worship has attracted national and international attention. Rabbi Davis, author of five books on Jewish spirituality, will open an experiential gate to that renewing spirit at the 2008 annual luncheon of the Conference Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns.
